BE A LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS
"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." - Matthew 5:16
What are Kenya’s unique challenges?
Food Supply Logistics
Widows are not able to sell their items to make money to buy food because of the stay at home order
The food stands in the rural communities are closing because of the stay at home order
Panic is setting in
Unrest and Fear are increasing
Many are coming to villages from the city that may have already been infected
Shangilia Children’s Home is at capacity
Families in the Kibera Slum are not able to socially distance and keep hands clean due to the crammed and unsanitary conditions
“During this COVID Crisis the people who are affected are the needy in our community no food, no soap & especially the widows who have to resort to begging. We are all family regardless where we are, let’s care for each other” - Rachel Ronogwa, SEDA Widows Ministry Director
